Welcome to the Parent Teacher Student Organization (PTSO) of Shades Valley High School, Jefferson County International Baccalaureate School, and Shades Valley Technical Academies.

This is a new year and a new beginning for the PTSO. Our goal is to support all aspects of education including academics, athletics, clubs, and arts.

How do we meet this goal? By getting YOU involved. We encourage you to join the PTSO and play an active role in your child’s high school experience.

Why should you join the PTSO? The PTSO offers opportunities to meet other parents, share successes, and discuss challenges. We offer programs to address some of the issues parents may face with teenagers including passing the graduation exams, balancing homework and extracurricular activities, selecting a college or career, and making the right choices in social situations. You are not alone. There is a PTSO mom or dad who is willing to listen or offer advice from personal experience. Get involved today!

Your membership and participation in the PTSO supports programs, faculty and staff and most of all your student! Volunteering your time for the PTSO makes a world of difference!
